Protection of financial service consumers' rights

FinPotrebSouz acts in the purpose of providing citizens – financial service consumers with all possible help and assistance in retail branches of the Russian financial market, and protecting their rights and statutory interests versus organizations, occupied with the following activities at the financial market:

FinPotrebSouz functions in interaction with authorities, non-commercial organizations and other interested foundations and associations.
  • Loan, saving, payment and deposit operations,
  • Mortgage, insurance, investments, funds, including cooperative and collective ones, financial operations at the real estate market,
  • Activity of infrastructure organizations of the financial and stock markets,
  • Issue of capital and other financial instruments,
  • Trade-intercessory activity at the financial, stock, exchange and insurance markets,
  • Activity of leasing companies and pawn shops,
  • Consumer consulting,
  • Activity of collector companies,
  • Activity of credit report bureaus and other types of activity at the financial consumer market

INTERREGIONAL PUBLIC CONSUMER ORGANIZATION «FINANCIAL SERVICE CONSUMER UNIT» (FINPOTREBSOUZ)

This organization was established in accordance with The Russian Federation Law № 2300-I «On Protection of Consumers' Rights», dated on 07.02.1992 and Federal Law №82-FZ «On Public Associations», dated on 19.05.1995.

Registration certificate of Russian Ministry of Justice dated on 21.07.2010. The founding document of the organization is its Statute.

THE MAIN PURPOSE OF FINPOTREBSOUZ IS:

Protection of consumers' rights and statutory interests in the financial service sphere, assistance in creation of a fair and civilized financial consumer market in the interests of Russian citizens – consumers, propaganda in favor of financial competence and general public literacy in this field.

The key goals of FinPotrebSouz are:

  • Rendering of legal assistance and support to financial service consumers in aspects, regarding observance of their rights and statutory interests,
  • Assistance in improvement of efficiency and quality of work, performed by producers and suppliers of retail financial services,
  • Public control over adherence to the legislation in the sphere of financial service consumers' right and interests,
  • Formulation of standards in the financial service sphere and propositions on creation of mechanisms, guaranteeing observance of these standards,
  • Upgrade of public awareness of the financial service market and trust for financial institutions,
  • Identification and prevention of cheating by false pretenses at the financial service market, including financial pyramids,
  • Introduction and expansion of financial knowledge and competence into the general public.
